One of the official thematic posters, together with a number of other graphic and photographic designs, created to build awareness and anticipation, as well as for general promotional merchandise at the games.
This poster was designed by Yvon Laroche who was part of the COJO graphic and design directorate. He was overseeing by Pierre-Yves Pelletier and Georges Huel who offered creative direction. The design is a schematic representation of the official symbol (designed by Huel) but in motion, flying in the wind. The Montréal Olympic flag acting as a rallying point whilst also suggesting mobility.
