A printed guide to the collection on display in the East Asian Galleries of the Royal Ontario Museum (Burton Kramer’s first ever client). The cover shows a glazed stoneware ‘baroque’ called ‘Arbiter of Life in Hell’ from the Ming dynasty. It features Yen lo Wang, the God of Death and Lord of the Fifth Floor of Hell, using a striking black and white image to amplify the piece’s dramatic power and sense of foreboding.
