A freestanding folding desk calendar that was mailed by pharmaceutical company Hoffmann-La Roche (a long standing client of Harder) to help promote a sleep remedy called Dalmane (‘a single medicine against all common insomnia’). This particular calendar spanned just 2 months (March and April), and was presumably one in a series of six sent throughout the year (it is not known if Harder designed any others in the series).

The cover design reflects the subject matter, a kinetic and almost hypnotic graphic sun, reflective of the changing seasons and increased sunlight and alluding to restful sleep.

Obtained from Rolf Harder’s own personal archive. It includes the printed outer plastic mailing wrapper.
