This edition focuses on recent advances in drug therapy for Parkinson’s, a disease that for so long had been considered largely untreatable. The ability to reintroduce some degree of control in patients who had all but lost hope was hugely significant, and Roch illustrates this sense of progress as the therapy begins to reinstate some control over the patient’s brain.
