As part of the roll-out of the new corporate identity program for Norman B Hathaway, Glenn Fretz (then, only 24 year old) created this fun ‘Greetings and Best Wishes’ piece. Printed in red ink only, the item was scored and glued to form a simple, 3 dimensional square tube design, which folded flat for storage and posting. The printed message signed off from the team, who at the time were: Loi Hathaway, Barb (surname TBC), Charlie Huke, Glenn Fretz, Bill (surname TBC) and Norman B Hathaway himself.

Norman B Hathaway Associates was a design studio located on the edge of Toronto’s Bloor-Yorkville neighbourhood. The company had an enviable reputation and worked across many disciplines, but most notably in packaging and corporate reports. Clients were primarily large, national and international firms including: Gillette, Rowntree, Welch’s, Ford, General Foods, General Motors and Maybelline.
