A volume produced by the School Libraries Office that lists some 200 titles. Together these titles make up the “1967 Supplement to the Choice of Books for Nurseries and Children 6 to 8 Years”. Each entry is categorized as either an ‘ouvrage de valeur’ (book of value) or an ‘ouvrage de grande valeur’ (book of significant value).

The illustrated cover uses simple geometric forms to depict a child reading. The child’s expression is generated by a single small circle and two lines, which successfully conveys a sense of the reader being immersed in the book.
