This clever identity was designed for an architectural preservation group in Cambridge, Ontario. The central ‘H’ is surrounded by four ‘C’s to create a quatrefoil, a decorative element commonly used in architecture ‘consisting of a symmetrical shape which forms the overall outline of four partially overlapping circles of the same diameter’. According to Fretz the resulting symbol reflects the cooperation between the various citizen and governmental groups to educate and preserve the heritage of the stone buildings that are a notable feature of this city.
