Design Canada was set up to raise understanding of graphic design and the talent that existed in Canada at the time. Design Canada had centres in both Montréal and Toronto – it was established by the National Design Council (sharing the NDC’s Allan Fleming-designed logo from 1964) and formed part of the Department of Industry, Trade and Commerce. This double sided bilingual letter promotes a book aimed at manufacturers entitled “Industrial Design, The Competitive Edge” that was designed by Burton Kramer and published in 1972.
