A publication created to accompany an exhibition of Tousignant’s work at the National Gallery of Canada in Ottawa. Unsurprisingly the artists’s work is the star, his bold geometric forms given plenty of space with minimal supporting text. The notes speak of his abstract works “in a language absolutely pure, a non-verbal manifesto at one tragic and lyrical”, before going on to position the artist alongside the likes of Matisse, Delaunay and Mondrian.
