Another in the series of short books by Hoffman-La Roche that focus on medical histories of famous historical figures, in this case the Russian novelist and philosopher Dostoyevsky, who suffered from epilepsy between his father’s death in 1839 and his own in 1881.
The striking and simple two-colour cover, a format common to all the books in the series, shows a somewhat erratic mental state, the blue amorphous shape emerging from his mind is given a pair of eyes, suggesting a lack of control over his own mental health.
