A text book published by Holt, Rinehart and Winston of Canada focused on, you guessed it, calculus, complex number and polar co-ordinates. There is no introduction or preface to this title so there is little supporting information to share. The authors were: H.A. Elliott, Associate Director of Service for Admission to College and University (Ottawa), K.D. Fryer, Associate Dean, Faculty of Mathematics, University of Waterloo, J.C. Gardner, Superintendent of Program Development, The Carlton Board of Education (Ottawa), Norman J. Hill, Head of Mathematics, St. Mary’s Collegiate and Vocational Institute (St.Mary’s).

The cover of this book is bound in purple linen and features an illustration composed of circular elements. The illustration is displayed within 5 vertically stacked panels, each individually masked within its space, but maintaining connectivity across the sequence. The theme continues onto the back cover, and on the title page inside.
